Compatibility notes: This article reflects the Subscriptions functionality provided by VOLT Services. The subscription user journey is currently available on Responsive Web Deltatre Apps 1.1 onwards.
This article introduces Subscription functionality within AXIS Presentation Manager and Recurly, displaying on Deltatre Apps, helping to increase monetization capabilities.
Subscription functionality enables operators to create asset offerings based on various subscription tiers, for example, Standard or Premium. App users can choose from the available plans configured in AXIS PM and Recurly before enjoying content offered by the OTT service.
Deltatre App subscriptions are integrated with Recurly, a subscription management platform, with a fully PCI-compliant payment journey.
Beneath details the two subscription journey options with user steps:
Option 1: Subscribe from Item Detail Page via CTA
User steps:
- User navigates to an Item Detail page (this assumes the app is browsable and users can access the Item Detail page)
- User selects main CTA, e.g., Watch, Sign up, Subscribe, which leads to registration flow
- User selects a plan from available options
- User receives confirmation details
- User navigates to Item Detail page or homepage as subscribed user
Option 2: Subscribe from landing page via deep link
User steps:
- User opens a landing page
- User selects a deep link to plan selection
- User selects plan from available options
- User selects sign in/register
- User makes payment
- User receives confirmation detail
- User navigates to homepage as subscribed user

Note: The Apps display the Plan selection page, which links to the Choose plan AXIS Presentation Manager system page (PM 9.9 onwards).
The Plan selection page displays key details about the available subscription plans. More detail below:

Plan selection page key details:
- Step counter: Displays step 1 of X, indicating how far a user is through the subscription process (configurable per project. Progress updates depending on where the user starts the journey).
- Page title: For example, ‘Choose your plan’, truncates after two lines and is configurable in PM.
- Plan segment buttons (optional): Displays tabbed plan details (monthly/yearly).
- Plan cards: Displays the plan details, horizontally aligned.
- Plan name: Displays the current plan title, truncating after two lines.
- Plan price and interval: Displays the plan price (in currency based on App store), and the billing interval (monthly/yearly).
- Plan call-to-action (CTA): Enables users to select a plan, taking them to the next stage.
- Plan description/tagline: Information about the plan (max. length 85 characters).
- Key plan benefits: Unique selling point of each plan; up to three benefits are supported, each truncating after two lines.
- Terms and Conditions link: Provides users with the terms and conditions of the subscription. Details open in an Editorial page in a separate browser tab — Terms and Conditions page must be set up in Presentation Manager. More info below.
Plan payment page
Note: The Apps display the Plan payment page, which links to the Plan payment details AXIS Presentation Manager system page (PM 9.9 onwards).
The Plan payment page enables users to pay for their plan via a fully PCI-compliant payment journey.

Plan payment page key details:
- Step counter: Displays step 1 of X, indicating how far a user is through the subscription process (configurable per project. Progress updates depending on where the user starts the journey).
- Page title: For example, ‘Choose your plan’ - copy truncates after two lines.
- Payment method: All accepted Credit/Debit cards types display (up to 6).
- Page name: For example, ‘Pay with’ - copy truncates after one line.
- Subscribe to: Plan name: Displays the current plan title.
- Subscribe to: Change plan: CTA directing user back to the Plan selection page.
- Subscribe to: Price and interval: Displays plan price (in currency based on App store), and the billing interval (monthly/yearly).
- Plan description/tagline: Information about the plan (max. length 85 characters).
- Voucher code: Users can apply one voucher at a time. The ‘Apply’ CTA becomes active once data is input.
- Payment CTA: Once selected, providing the payment is successful, the user subscribes to the service (copy is configurable).
Terms and Conditions page
Note: The Apps display the Terms and Conditions page, which links to the Terms and Conditions AXIS Presentation Manager system page (PM 9.9 onwards).
The Terms and Conditions page displays when the Terms and Conditions link is selected during the subscription journey.
