Assets are your catalog of video and non-video content. Each of your assets contains metadata (including asset images), offers, and an internal reference to a video file (if applicable). The AXIS reference apps support multiple asset types, including movies, TV shows, live channels, and programs. These assets display throughout your apps across different row types. Movies and TV shows are then playable from the asset's item details page, whereas channels and their associated programs are played directly from the channel (linear) rows.
Movie assets in rows:
Use rows to display movie assets throughout your apps. How movie assets display is dependent on the asset's metadata, images, and the row type the asset displayed on. In the following example, the "Tomb Raider" movie asset displays in a poster format, with its title and short description overlaid below:
Clicking on one of these movie assets in your app directs you to their item detail page.
Note: These item detail pages are one to many, meaning that their layout and design persists across all assets of that type.
