Learn about Right-to-Left (RTL) languages.*
What are Right-to-Left (RTL) languages?
Right-to-Left languages present content from right to left; this is also known as mirroring.
How do I set up RTL language display?
If a RTL language is added in Presentation Manager (within the Admin section), it is visible to end-users in your apps. Selecting a RTL language automatically results in the app switching to a right to left format. This automatically reorients your layout, text, and graphical content, reducing the need for additional language variants.
Note: Media playback buttons and media progress indicators are not inverted for RTL languages.
Which RTL languages are supported?
The RTL languages supported as part of the 5.1.0 release are Arabic, Hebrew, Kurdish, Persian, and Urdu.
Which devices support RTL languages?
Select one of the following links to view the relevant release notes for web, iOS (including tvOS), and Android (including AndroidTV and FireTV). Roku does not currently support RTL languages.
