Assets are your catalog of video and non-video content. Each of your assets contains metadata (including asset images), offers, and an internal reference to a video file (if applicable). The AXIS reference apps support multiple asset types, including movies, TV shows, and live channels. These assets can display throughout your apps across different row types. Movies and TV shows are then playable from the asset's item details page, whereas programs are standalone assets, non-movie programs such an event, TV special, or an ad-hoc live event (a one-off live stream). Linear schedules (which contain limited metadata) automatically link to a related program, episode, or movie asset.
Programs in rows:
Programs are displayed in rows and are represented by a thumbnail, title, and optional extra information including a short description and a rating.
Selecting a program asset from a row directs users to the program detail page, similar to when selecting a movie asset.
Here users have the option to interact with the program asset whether it's purchasing, renting, downloading, bookmarking, or rating it.
