Full screen episode guide, full-width stream view, date selector, and channel detail page features.*
Note: This release supports Roku devices.
This release contains the second part of our Linear implementation for Roku. This includes:
- The EPG1 Channel guide row with channel schedules throughout a given period
- EPG1 date selector
- CH1 Channel hero metadata
- Channel detail page
- Item detail page overlay
EPG1 - Channel guide
You can now create an EPG page for your Roku applications that supports the EPG1 Channel guide row. This row can take ingested channels and display them as a fullscreen episode guide.
EPG1 Date selector
Selecting the Today: Upcoming button from the EPG1 channel guide displays the date selector. Selecting a date displays the relevant schedule.
CH1 - Channel hero
The new CH1row for Roku allows you to display a full-width stream of a specific channel. This can be added as a hero header on both standard category pages and home pages, or as a hero header on the Channel Detail Page as the CHD1 row. Users have the option to view asset details and the full schedule from this view.
Users have the option to Watch the asset from this view, redirecting to the Channel detail page and CHD1 row.
Channel detail page
The Channel detail page for Roku is a landing page for a specific channel. This can be configured with the EPG3, CH2, and CHD2 rows, and headed by a CHD1 row. Note that while the EPG3 and CH2 rows require the operator to provide a channel asset to display a channel schedule, the CHD2 row will always use the same channel as the Channel detail page.
Item detail page overlay
Clicking on past or future assets in an EPG1 row will open the item detail overlay, displaying information about the asset.
From here, options include Watch Now and More Details.
- Fixed an issue that caused the H1 row carousel to continue moving automatically
- Fixed an issue that meant selecting the CH2 View Full Schedule button did not display the Chanel guide (EPG) page
- Fixed an H11 row focusing issue
- Fixed an issue H10 row focusing issue
In some cases, the resume point is not correctly saved when navigating away from a partly watched asset. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as possible.
