Assets are your catalog of video and non-video content. Each asset contains metadata (including images), offers, and an internal reference to a video file if applicable.
AXIS supports multiple asset types that display in rows in Deltatre Apps and Reference Apps. How they display will depend on the available metadata, the selected row type, and how it's configured, and the user's app.
What are Competition assets?
Competitions are a sport-specific asset type usually related to a confederation asset that represents the governing or organizing body for the competition. Competition assets can be related to multiple event assets that are in turn related to stage assets - for example, a tennis tournament or football league competition with qualifying or elimination events or levels. Alternatively, your competition assets could be made up of a series of standalone events such as a boxing match or one-day race.

Competition asset metadata
Use your competition asset to display information about the competition, using metadata including the competition logo and a short or detailed description, and link to related content.
Metadata fields include:
- the title of the competition
- the sport it relates to
- the country, if relevant
- a detailed or short description of the competition
- the year start and end
See our asset metadata article for full details of all the fields available for competition assets.
Competition detail page
Use the item detail page template to create a page for your competition assets that users are taken to when they select the asset from anywhere in their app.
You can use this page to display further information about the competition, as well as related content. Link to competition events and allow users to view more details or watch live or completed events depending on user entitlements. Highlight participating teams or star players (personas) and allow users to follow these assets and link to their detail pages.
Take a look at our competition detail page article for more information, and to see examples of how the page is displayed across the different Reference Apps.
